Gift #124: Repurposing dresses

I love sewing. That's a big gift God gave me.I don't sew that well and I do not have the patience to make a good workmanship. But once in a while I come up with some really good repurposing ideas and I am very proud of myself.
It started with a top and a jumper I don't wear anymore.

I cut it into a cute jumper for little lady.

Because the sides of the top are split I have to do something about them...can't let her wear a cheongsam, can I?

Ahh...much better. I thought I was real clever. (sorry, can't stop praising myself)

Running stitch to do the gathers.

Add the top strips of cloth.

Then the buttons and it is done!

She is absolutely adorable, isn't she? Pardon the snot.

The 2nd piece (from the SAME 2 dress and top, oh my, I'm flying in the clouds) is for the big lady. This one is more ingenious I think. Look at the top! OH MY!

Another ingenious point, since I'll be adding a ribbon around the bodice and skirt attachment, I decided to sew on the right side instead. See what happens later.

With the ribbon intact.

The back

Look! The inside is neat without more sewing! SOOOO Clever!

=) alright. I repent of my pride.;P
